Weiner Library is pleased to present the work of local artist Zhora Almosnino, Her mixed media paintings will be on display on the second floor of Weiner Library through May 22, 2009.

Zhora Amosnino was born in Europe and raised in Israel. After serving for two years in the Israeli military she moved to a kibbutz.  Amosnino studied and worked as a graphic designer but in recent years she started working full-time as an artist.

Amosnino often incorporates everyday objects and recycled materials in her work.  “New painting is a way of starting with one thing on the canvas, knowing that it will change completely by the end. Most of my paintings are inspired by pure imagination, strong colors, and a hint of humor.”
