FDU Library now has Kindle Fires and Kindle Touches!  Students, faculty and staff can check them out for up to 7 days.  

The Kindle Fire is a tablet that can be used to browse the Internet, do library research, read e-books, stream videos and music, play games, and much more. The Kindle Touch is an e-Reader, similar to the original Kindle, only smaller.

Kindle TouchTwo of each type of device will be available at both the College at Florham Library and the Giovatto Library on the Metro campus. Please stop by the circulation desk at either library to sign out the devices or for more information about our e-Reader and Laptop (including iPads) loaner programs. A valid FDU library account in good standing is required for loan of these devices.

Features ”X-Ray”, which is capable of  scanning your entire book for characters, historical figures, and interesting terms, then providing detailed descriptions from Shelfari.com and Wikipedia.

Borrow an iPad for 7 Days

Curious about the Apple iPad?     Would you like to explore its use as an education tool?

 Come to your Campus Library…

Full-time FDU Faculty & Staff may Borrow an iPad for 7 days.

 

Each campus library has two iPads that may be borrowed for use outside of the library and can be used to browse the Internet, do research, read e-books, create content, stream videos and music, take notes, access Webcampus, and much, much more. The iPads are part of the libraries’ growing technology lending program which also includes laptops for use in the library, and a selection of Amazon Kindles, Sony eReaders and iPod Touches that may also be borrowed by FDU students, faculty, and staff for up to one week.

Please stop by the circulation desk at the College at Florham Library or the Giovatto Library to sign out the devices. A valid FDU library account in good standing is required for loan of these devices.
