Recent Acquisitions…College at Florham

Even now, in this age of digitization, books are still valuable resources in a library.  The College at Florham Library’s ”Recent Acquisitons” shelves are located in the Reference room, opposite the Reference desk.  

In among the diverse selections, a browsing patron will discover two titles by faculty members:  Riad Nasser’s Recovered Histories and Contested Identities: Jordan, Israel and Palestine (Lexington Books, 2011) and Richard Reiss’s Desperate Love:  A Father’s Memoir (Serving House Books, 2011).

From Japan to Florham: an Exhibition of Gift Books

“From Japan to Florham: An Exhibition of Gift Books from the Nippon Foundation” will be held in the College at Florham Library from March 20th through April 20th.  The exhibition will include a group of Japanese posters from the 1980s.

Part of the Nippon Foundation’s international program, the “Read Japan” initiative granted 83 books to the College at Florham Library in response to an application by Maria Webb, Director of Public Services.

 

Reception

Wednesday, March 30th from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. 

 

Guest Speaker: Dr. Peter Woolley

Japan scholar and FDU political science professor.

 

All are welcome.   Light refreshments will be served.
